Adults
Adult students are students who have turned 20 years old prior to September 1st of the current school year. Stop in at our school to access career counseling and get help with educational planning. Learn about the shortcuts and advantages given to adult students
The current rate for adults is $550 for a five credit course, or $110 for a one credit course. Financial assistance is available for eligible adults. To arrange for funding, call Jason Heistad at Olds College (403.556.8351).
Tuition must be paid before course work can begin.
Who is a mature student?
Look under "Mature Student" in the Guide to Education to see the criteria for mature students. If you are uncertain about your status as a mature student, please call Learner Records and Data Exchange at (780) 422-9337 (toll-free 310-0000).
High School Equivalency Diploma for mature students
Alberta offers a High School Equivalency Diploma as an alternative to obtaining your Alberta High School Diploma. There are two other options available to mature students, they are outlined in Alberta's Guide to Education, under "High School Equivalency Diploma".
