Welcome to Didsbury Career High School
Didsbury Career High School (formerly Didsbury Outreach School) is a fully accredited public high school, which offers a small open school environment for students. Career training, self-directed learning, and computer managed learning opportunities offer students the flexibility to work, while attending school. Didsbury Career High offers a variety of high school courses to students fifteen for adults. The school provides flexibility, and is set up to meet the needs of individual learners.
Our students are:
- working on high school courses to obtain an Alberta High School Diploma or Certificate of Achievement
- upgrading courses for College or University entrance
- committed athletes needing a flexible attendance schedule
- adult students (age 20+) working full and part-time while finishing their studies
- people needing a flexible attendance schedule due to various personal commitments (i.e. work, family, health issues)
- attending a regular school for most courses and Outreach for a course (Principal approval required)
Highlights
- High School program for students in grades 10 -12
- Students work on courses individually using Distance Education materials with Teacher support on-site
- Courses meet provincial curriculum requirements and are equivalent to courses offered in Alberta High Schools
- Students can earn an Alberta High School Diploma here! Writing centre for Diploma Exams in November, January, April, & June
- Graduation Ceremony in June
