Didsbury Career High School (formerly Didsbury Outreach School) is a fully accredited public high school, which offers a small open school environment for students. Career training, self-directed learning, and computer managed learning opportunities offer students the flexibility to work, while attending school.The school provides flexibility, and is set up to meet the needs of individual learners.

Our students are:

  • working on high school courses to obtain an Alberta High School Diploma or Certificate of Achievement
  • upgrading courses for College or University entrance
  • committed athletes needing a flexible attendance schedule
  • adult students (age 20 as of September 1st of the current school year) working full and part-time while finishing their studies
  • people needing a flexible attendance schedule due to various personal commitments (i.e. work, family, health issues)
  • attending a regular school for most courses and the Career High School for a course (Principal approval required)


Highlights

  • High School program for students in grades 10 to 12
  • Students work on courses individually using online or Distance Education materials with teacher support on-site
  • Courses meet provincial curriculum requirements and are equivalent to courses offered in Alberta High Schools
  • Students can earn an Alberta High School Diploma here! Writing centre for Diploma Exams in November, January, April, & June
  • Graduation Ceremony in June
